Magic Ring & Double Crochet Tutorial for Beginners

Materials: 5mm Lovely Cottons braided cotton cord, 8mm crochet hook. Stitches/techniques: Magic ring and double crochet (US single crochet).

This is the way I make magic ring; this can be approached in many different ways even though the final effect is the same 😊 The yarn tail MUST BE able to move easily otherwise it’s NOT a magic ring. I show a row of double crochet around the magic ring, and this is only to show the techniques – the number of stitches in the first row varies in patterns.

Everything I show in my videos is recommendation only. There are various ways of holding your crochet hook and yarn in your hands and everyone needs to find the way that suits them best. I also use various hook sizes, depending on the project.
