🧶 Crafting Tip

Although some crafters prefer heavy-duty machines, a regular home sewing machine is suitable for sewing this cord — just with a few simple adjustments:

• • Use a jeans (denim) needle
  • Choose a polyester thread rather than cotton (e.g. Gütermann Sew-All or Hemline sewing & overlocking thread)
  • Sew with a wide zigzag stitch, preferably using a short stitch length

Try a contrasting thread for a bold look, or tonal shades for a classic finish. Because of its firmer feel, it’s perfect for structured projects that need to keep their shape without additional stiffeners.
