Although some crafters prefer heavy-duty machines, a regular home sewing machine is suitable for sewing this cord — just with a few simple adjustments:

  • Choose a polyester thread rather than cotton (e.g. Gütermann Sew-All or Hemline sewing & overlocking thread)
  • Sew with a wide zigzag stitch, preferably using a short stitch length
